After realizing that the unfortunate war of words that began on another blog have still not ceased for some folks on the blogosphere, I have to say that the following stanzas of this hymn were especially welcome. I was reminded of an incident where St. Therese was falsely accused of making a noise. "Burning to defend herself, she ran away".
Let it go, people. For the love of Jesus, will you let it go?

Was there ever kinder shepherd Half so gentle, half so sweet, As the Savior who would have us Come and gather at His feet?"
