So, What's New in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia?

I refer you to someone in the know. I have no ax to grind with Cardinal Rigali, but if what we're hearing is true (supposedly his successor is already in town) I think this is good news for us.  The announcement will come from the Vatican at 6am Philadelphia-time tomorrow and we're told that Cardinal Rigali and his successor will celebrate Mass tomorrow at Noon at the Basicila of Sts. Peter and Paul in downtown Philly.  Wow.

  6. Congratulations on the arrival of Archbishop Chaput. I nearly cried when I heard the news today. I guess you guys need him more than we do. But I will miss him.

  7. Oh, Mary Christine, I forgot he was your Archbishop. I think we probably do need him more than Denver does and I hope his replacement is someone comparable to him in terms of adherence to the Church's teachings. And it's good to hear from you, hope all is well :)

Caroline, yes it is. I must be living under a rock because I didn't see this one coming.
