Richard Collins, for correctly guessing that the mystery vegetable is a daikon radish. Is it like a Jerusalem artichoke, which is not an artichoke at all, or is it a real radish? Stay tuned.

I sliced part of it and put it in the tomato salad. I think I would like it better pickled in cider vinegar instead.
Wow! I'd have never guessed- I haven't heard of these before. Can't wait to hear what it tastes like.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of it either. Did you buy it at an Asian store? Not that I look more carefully, the leaves don't look like those of a parsnip.
