Triduum To St. Therese at Philadelphia Carmelite Monastery

Commencing on September 29th, the Feast of the Archangels, will be the annual triduum to St. Therese at the Carmelite Monastery in Philadelphia.  Solemn Vespers with Benediction at 4 pm, with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 7:30 pm  Preceding the Mass each evening will be recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm followed by the Litany of St. Therese and a concert of sacred music.

The monastery is located at 66th Avenue and Old York Road.  Off-street parking is available in the  lot immediately adjacent to the monastery on 66th Avenue.  I do not know who the priest celebrant is but perhaps one of our Carmelite bloggers can tell us.

The Avila Bookstore, one of the best collections of Catholic literature and sacramentals in the region, will be open after Vespers and again after Mass.

  1. Having a Liturgical bookstore supurb in depth, breadth and ecclesial proliferation, a location containing volumes which in equal measures burst forth with both sagacious as well as Magisterial magnificence, Philadelphia's Carmel stands as a wellspring of opportunity for an education at once both practical as well as Spiritual. Yet that pales in comparison to the Palpable Spiritual portent ever existing and often enough actualized on both sides of the veil which stands as Carmel's guiding ethos. Praised indeed be Jesus Christ!!!!
