Carmelite Alert!!

As I expected, EWTN did not air Father Corapi's show this evening.  However, I did see an ad for a program scheduled for 2am Sunday morning that has me ready to sleep on the couch so as not to miss it.  It's a documentary on a woman who enters a Carmelite monastery.  I can't believe they couldn't find a more appropriate time to air it, but if there's anything that could keep me up until 2, this is it!

  1. Joyce, this is very good. It's been on a few times before, if it's the one I'm thinking of situated in Scandinavia.
The family issues are very touching, as the mother of this young woman is obviously very devout but struggles with ambivalent feelings about giving her up totally.
The convent is beautiful--sparse and full of light.
    Enjoy.

  2. Is this the *No Greater Love* about a community of cloistered Carmelite Sisters similar to *Into Deep Silence*? I guess if it is a documentary it would be different. This is when I wish we had DVR : ) I am sure it will air again at a normal time.

    I must confess:

I FAILED to stay up until then. So I will have to wait. But Julie thanks for the preview, I will hopefully get to see it at a more civilized hour.

  5. If it *was* 'No Greater Love'...I just checked Netflix and you can 'save' it...it's not available yet. I saved it and will let you know when it becomes available!
