Monday Night Rush

Not sure if there will be a post of any substance tonight.  I have the dough for the donuts set to rise, we just had dinner and I'm off to remember everyone's intentions at the Monday night novenas at my church.   Fortunately, there will be no scantily clad women, calypso alleluias or liturgical dancers to drive me to distraction while trying to pray.  Thank God for my pastor.  Please, Lord, send us more just like him!

  1. I wish I had the motivation for making donuts :)

What wonderful parish do you belong to? I didn't know there were any left like that besides the Carmelite Monastery : /

  3. carmelite mom, I belong to St. Paul's at 10th and Christian Streets in South Philadelphia. We have the TLM at Noon every Sunday. Quite a few people I have seen at the Monastery also venture to St. Paul's on Sunday for this Mass. Our pastor celebrates Mass in the Ordinary Form in the most reverent way as well. My next post, before I tackle the donuts, will be an update on Lenten devotions at St. Paul's. Do you belong the Third Order that meets at the Monastery? We also have Secular Carmelites at our church but I haven't reached the point where I think I can commit, though I think I am getting close.
    God Bless!

Comments which reflect true Christian charity are always welcome. Comments which attack the Pope, the Church, priests or other bloggers will go in the dustbin, especially if they are anonymous. Thank you and God Bless you!
